Gender equality situation in Japanese society 2023, by gender
According to a survey conducted in 2023 on gender equality in Japan, almost 28 percent of male respondents believed that men and women are treated equally in Japanese society, while around 15 percent of female survey participants were the same opinion. Overall, female respondents reported a stronger sense of gender inequality in favor of men within the country's social context.
