Advanced robotics: expected effect on workforce reduction

Around 67 percent of Chinese executives and operations managers surveyed expect the number of employees in their companies to shrink by at least five percent between 2019 and 2023 due to the adoption of advanced robotics. Moreover, some 21 percent of Chinese respondents expect that their workforce will shrink by more than 20 percent by 2023.
While 43 percent of German respondents expect their workforce to shrink by at least five percent between 2019 and 2023, only two percent of German respondents believe that the employee reduction in their companies will exceed 20 percent.
