Brazil: children's main motivations to watch football 2020
Having a topic to talk about with their friends was the main reason for children in Brazil to follow soccer, according to a survey carried out in January 2020, mentioned by roughly six out of ten respondents between 8 and 12 years old. Around four out of ten Brazilian respondents above this age were interested in the sport due to a similar reason. Meanwhile, more than half of children surveyed in Brazil reported to watch football to improve their own skills.
