In 2024, according to Effigy Consulting, some 112.1 million parcels were delivered in the courier, express, and parcel (CEP) market in Portugal. This was the highest volume registered in the given period and seven percent higher than the previous year's volume.
The study is a consolidation of the following carriers: Correos Express, CTT, DHL Express, DHL eCommerce, DPD, FedEx/TNT, GLS, InPost, MRW, NACEX, Ontime, Paack, UPS, and others (rest of the market).

Volume is measured in number of parcel items up to 31.5kg (domestic, outbound or inbound); all volumes are allocated to the carrier with commercial ownership of the customer. Sub-contracted volumes are to be removed (as much as possible) to avoid double counting. In case of import, the delivery of the parcel from the gateway to the consignee is attributed to the operator with responsibility for the last mile delivery.
Excludes Food, Same Day, Point-to-Point delivery, Pallets, Freight, Contract Logistic, Innight service, Air Cargo Linehauls, etc.
