Value of renewable electricity purchases Japan FY 2022, by energy source
Electricity generated from solar energy (with more than ten kilowatts) worth about 2.67 trillion Japanese yen was purchased in Japan in the fiscal year 2022. Solar energy constituted the energy source with the largest renewable electricity purchase value in Japan. Biomass energy followed, with a purchase value of around 655.2 billion Japanese yen.
