Top games for loot box purchases according to U.S. console gamers 2019
A 2019 survey of daily console gamers in the United States found that the most popular game to buy loot boxes for was Fortnite. Over 23 percent of responding gamers stated that they had purchased loot box content for the battle royale title. Team-based shooter Overwatch was ranked second with 20.4 percent of respondents stating that they had purchased loot boxes for the game.
