Having more women on the selection committee for startup accelerators positively influenced the number of female-led startups in both the applicant pool and the actual accelerator cohort in 2020. During this time period, 45 percent of startups in the applicant pool and 43 percent of startups in the cohort were startups led by women, in cases where less than 45 percent of the selection committee were women. In cases where 45 percent or more of the selection committee were women, 56 percent percent of startups in the applicant pool and 57 percent of startups in the cohort were female-led startups.
