In 2020, the average debt capital raised in startups led by men after participation in a business accelerator was higher than the debt raised by female-led startups post-acceleration. Prior to participation in an accelerator, male-led startups raised an average of about 28,400 U.S. dollars in debt capital, and female-led startups raised an average of about 18,200 U.S. dollars.
After participating in the accelerator, startups led by women raised an average debt capital of around 39,800 U.S. dollars, a growth of about 21,600 U.S. dollars. Average debt raised by male-led startups post-acceleration amounted to around 55,000 U.S. dollars, a growth of about 26,600 thousand U.S. dollars.
