As of July 21, 2022, most countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) had received the majority of their COVID-19 vaccine stock from Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech). In Denmark, the Comirnaty vaccine accounted for 83 percent of the total COVID-19 vaccines distributed to the country. Hungary was the first country in the EEA to have received COVID-19 vaccines from Sinopharm and Sputnik V which were developed in China and Russia respectively.
