Monthly revenue evolution of the restaurant industry in France 2019-2020
Restaurants in France underwent a business slowdown due to the pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus. Governmental restrictions, aiming to stop the virus spread, indeed constrained restaurants to close for a long-term period in France. Despite these temporary rules, French restaurants went through a decline in turnover. In April 2020, food service recorded a revenue loss of 89.8 percent compared with the same month last year.
