According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTA) conducted in June 2023, 49 percent of Indian respondents booked other travel services like sightseeing tours or a restaurant weeks in advance using an OTA. When it comes to more short-term bookings, these services are still booked on a regular basis. 14 percent of respondents between 25 and 34 years booked a service immediately before they needed it.
Online travel agencies are online platforms like Agoda, Skyscanner, Booking.com, or TripAdvisor that offer a wide range of tourism services.
