Victims of trafficking in Nigeria 2017-2022, by form of exploitation
Sexual exploitation represented the most frequent form of human trafficking in Nigeria, with 1,104 cases reported in 2022. However, the number of cases were lower in the preceeding years, the lowest in 2019. Forced labour was another main type of exploitation recognized in the same year. More victims of human trafficking in the country have been reported in cases of forced labour, child domestic labour, child abuse, sexual abuse, and other kinds of human trafficking.
