Revenue of Automobile Dacia in Romania 2013-2019

Automobile Dacia was founded in 1966 and is not only the most important automotive company in Romania, but also one of the most valuable companies in the country, with a brand value of 1.13 billion euros as of 2021. Dacia registered its highest revenue in 2018, at approximately 5.3 billion euros. By 2019, the automobile manufacturer recorded a slight drop, totaling a revenue worth 5.2 billion euros. Moreover, since 2015 the automotive company has registered earnings after tax of over 100 million euros.

Dacia car sales

In 1999, Dacia was sold to the French car manufacturer Renault, becoming a brand of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. As a result, Dacia’s biggest market after Romania, with 140,568 vehicles sold in 2019, was the French market. In 2020, Dacia was also leading in terms of car model sales. The most popular car model in the country was Dacia Logan, a model produced for the first time in 2004, followed by more recent models such as Dacia Duster and Dacia Sandero.

Dacia car production

Despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in March 2020 in Romania, Dacia produced a total of 181,826 vehicles in the first nine months of 2020, meaning an average monthly production of over 22 thousand vehicles. In terms of car models, the most produced model from January to October 2020 was Dacia Duster, totaling nearly 171 vehicles, followed by Dacia Sandero.
