According to a survey conducted among Chinese respondents who decided not to return home for the 2022 Spring Festival due to COVID-19 pandemic-related reasons, around 44 percent of respondents said they chose to avoid being infected with coronavirus on the way home. Only 56 percent of those respondents who worked and lived away from their hometowns were sure they were going home to visit their families during the Spring Festival that year.
