Number of cities hosting bicycle-sharing system in France 2007-2018
In recent years, alternative means of transport appeared, which could be partly explained by the fact that people are becoming more concerned about their ecological footprint. Given that point, the number of cities offering bicycle-sharing systems rose sharply between 2007 and 2010. In the space of three years, the number of cities increased from 12 to 32. Then, in the space of eight years, only two more cities opted for a bike-sharing system.
