According to the results of a survey led by the Fédération des usagers de la Byciclette (French Federation of cyclists) in 2019, a total of 30 percent of respondents rated the experience they had with vehicle drivers in terms of respectfulness on a scale 2 out of 6. Furthermore, 19 percent of the respondents also rated the overall respectfulness of vehicle drivers towards them on a scale 1 out of 6. These results could indicate a general negative opinion of French cyclists on vehicle drivers as a the source stated that the threshold for a positive response was 3.5 points out of 6.

* This survey includes a series of 26 questions classified in five categories: general feeling, safety, comfort, importance of bicycles, parking.
For each of these questions, an answer between 1 (the worst) and 6 (the best) is expected.
