Preferred devices for reading manga among high school students Japan 2020, by gender

According to a survey conducted in May 2020, 83 percent of female high school students in Japan stated that they use smartphones to read manga. While female respondents were more likely to use smartphones, the share of respondents who preferred books or magazines was higher among the male high school students.
