Distribution of visitors at J. League matches in Japan 2019, by age and gender
A survey conducted in 2019 found that 27 percent of male spectators at venues featuring J. League soccer matches were in their forties. A similar share of female spectators, 26.7 percent, were also in their forties. The survey concluded that most venue-visiting male and female soccer fans in Japan are above 40 years of age.
