The total spending of British tourists who traveled to the Canary Islands in 2020 plummeted compared to that in 2019 due to the coronavirus crisis. In 2019, it had already fallen from the five billion reached in 2018. However, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to an expenditure of just over 1.2 billion euros.
