French people's forecasts on their future frequency of store attendance 2020, by type
The current health crisis is likely to have had various consequences on the purchasing behaviors and habits of people in France, and the health risks related to the crisis seem to have resulted in a certain degree of stress among French consumers. In November 2020, almost a third of them felt more anxious about going Christmas shopping in physical stores than in the previous year. Regarding their future shopping habits, at the same period, more than one-third of French people planned to stop or reduce their frequency of visits to supermarkets and hypermarkets.
