In 2020, the total investments in carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa were 2.8 billion U.S. dollars. While CCS investment was highly dependent on a few significant commitments that year, with the growing concerns of achieving net-zero emissions globally, CCS capacity is bound to grow.
