The transportation modes market increased in recent years since new means of locomotion, such as electric scooters, were increasingly used by consumers. Although they remained less used than others, such transportation modes also knew progress among the French population in 2020. On the other hand, walking appeared as the means of locomotion which experienced the best progression in terms of use during the same period in France. 47 percent of French people stated that they walked more in 2020. This figure could be partly explained by the lockdowns effects, which appeared during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
