In 2020, almost 50 percent of the foreign value added in exports in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was from Europe and Central Asia. It was followed by East Asia and Pacific at about 21.7 percent. In that year, fuels made up the largest share of imports in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at about 33.2 percent.
