PCR tests positive for COVID-19 variants in France 2021, by region

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus has mutated. Variants from the United Kingdom, Brazil, and South Africa were identified. These variants of the coronavirus (COVID-19) also reached France. The three regions most impacted by the British variant are Guadeloupe, Occitania, and Corsica. Between May 31 and June 6, 2021, the share of these variants detected among the positive PCR tests indeed amounted to more than 85 percent in these three regions.
