As of December 2020, a total of 4.45 million Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games domestic tickets have been sold in Japan. Roughly 800 thousand of the initially sold tickets are to be refunded starting at the end of December 2020, after the Games were postponed and organizers offered refunds for those who could not attend the rescheduled events.
