Italian export products as a share of global export 2019

In that same year, exports of leather shoes from Italy made up 14 percent of the global total, second in the world after China. However, in terms of materials, Italy is the largest exporter of leather in the world. Italy's main export partners are countries within the European Union. Overall, Germany is the main Italian trade partner.
