Net spending intention of medicines in Mexico 2020-2021
The net intention to spend on medicines in Mexico decreased in the second half of 2020, reaching its lowest value on December, at 15 percent. However, in the first two months of 2021, the net spending intention of medicines increased again, attaining a value of 25 percent by February 2021. According to a survey carried out in Mexico in 2019, nearly six out of 10 respondents considered patented pharmaceutical products to be not very or not at all affordable.
