Wind energy as share of electricity demand in Argentina 2018-2022
Wind energy has been at the core of Argentina's campaign to increase the share of renewable sources in electricity generation. In January 2022, wind represented over nine percent of the South American country's electricity demand, up from less than 0.5 percent in 2018. In 2021, Argentina's wind energy generation amounted to nearly 13 terawatt hours.
