Total value of GDPR fines imposed in Europe 2018-2024, by country
Since its implementation in May 2018, large fines have been imposed Europe-wide for various infringements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws. As of January 2024, the most significant penalties have been charged in Ireland, with an aggregate value of around 2.8 billion euros to date. Luxembourg ranked second, with over 746 million euros.
