As of November 2022, the installed capacity of all the operational nuclear reactors in China amounted to some 52 gigawatts electric, while roughly 25 gigawatts worth of capacity were under construction. To achieve carbon neutrality in 2060, China has planned to significantly increase the share of nuclear power in their electricity mix.
