Risk of tsunami in conflict region MENA 2020, by country
In 2020, Palestine and Syria had the highest tsunami risk among conflict and risk countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at a score of 5.6. Although the COVID-19 cases in the region were low by international standards, the conflict and humanitarian crises which left more than 57 million people in those countries in need of humanitarian assistance even prior to the pandemic made them vulnerable to a greater threat.
