Number of organic food references in private label in the main French retailers 2018
A private label is a commercial brand for a product whose characteristics have been defined by the company or group of companies that retail the product and that owns the brand under which it is sold. Over the last few years, French retailers have been developing their organic private labels, and in 2018, the Carrefour group had 900 organic food references under private label. From a consumption perspective, it can be observed that in 2020, about seven French people out of ten consumed this type of product.
