In 2020, 40 percent of the respondents in the surveyed countries in the Middle East and North Africa region and Pakistan stated that the COVID-19 pandemic was the reason behind their online shopping. Additionally, 45 percent of respondents reported an increase in their online shopping frequency compared to the start of the pandemic.
