Fiber networks reach in Sub-Saharan Africa 2015-2021
As of 2021, nearly 57 percent of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa was reached by fiber networks. In absolute numbers, 669 million people lived within a range of 25 kilometers from an operational fiber optic network node. Network expansion has been progressively growing in Africa, increasing internet access in the continent.
