Number of stores forced to close in France in January 2021, by retailer
On January 29, 2021, the Prime Minister of the French government, Jean Castex, announced the closure of shopping centers and stores of more than 20,000 square meters as of Sunday morning, January 31, 2021, to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In terms of the number of closed outlets, the textile sector came first (Promod, Camaïeu, Okaidi, Celio), followed by perfumes and cosmetics. The Histoire d'Or brand had to close 234 of its points of sale.
