From January to July 2020, federal taxes collected in Brazil from air transport services dropped by nearly 39 percent in comparison to the same period a year earlier. This was the largest decrease among tourism-related services in the country. In contrast, the tax contribution to the Brazilian federal government from water and ground transport increased by more than 20 percent that period.
