In the first fiscal quarter of 2024, Sony Corporation sold approximately six million first-party games for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, down from 12.3 million unit sales in the preceding period. The company's strong performance with full game software unit sales during the end of 2023 is related to the holiday quarter and the long-awaited released of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the sequel to one of the best-selling PlayStation exclusives of all time.
