Latin America: COVID-19 impact on cancer services 2020
As of May 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic had already affected cancer services in Latin America. According to a study carried out in the region, the number of chemotherapies performed in the region during the pandemic decreased between two percent and 54 percent, depending on the country. Meanwhile, cancer surgeries declined between 28 percent and 70 percent due to the global health crisis.
