In April 2022, American actress Amber Heard was the celebrity with the highest monthly searches on average, with 55.6 million Google searches. The celebrity with the second-highest average monthly search volume was actor Johnny Depp, with 45.5 million monthly searches on average. In addition, tech billionaire Elon Musk totaled an average of 30.4 million Google searches. South Korean boy band BTS had 16.6 million searches in April 2022, roughly the same amount that the group totaled in April 2021, when at that point they were the most searched for celebrities on the search engine.
