In 2019, the StreetScooter Work model accounted for around 60 percent of electric light commercial vehicle sales in Germany. Founded in 2010 and bought by Germany's Deutsche Post DHL Group in 2014, StreetScooter became the leading electric light commercial vehicle maker in Germany by 2016. The market share of the StreetScooter Work model peaked in 2017 at around 86 percent, a record year for the company.
