Iron ore transported by railway in India in the fiscal year 2022 reached 168.36 million metric tons. Governmental reform and deregulation of the mining industries will encourage more private and foreign investors to enter the business and expand the production capacity. As the public investment in railway infrastructure is also growing, the transportation of iron ore is expected to increase steadily in the next few years.
