In October 2021, the collections of goods and services tax (GST) by the central government and the federal states in India reached 1,300 billion Indian rupees. Thereby the value of collected GST was significantly higher than in the same month of 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the value of tax collections significantly decreased in April 2020.
