Production value of the Spanish biotech sector 2010-2020

In 2020, the production value of the Spanish biotech sector amounted to approximately 12 billion euros, up from around 11.9 billion euros reported a year prior. During the period under consideration, the turnover of the biotechnology industry has grown by about 93 percent in the European country. That same year, more than half of the biotech companies in Spain were Micro-SME with less than 10 employees.
