"Cohabitation" reality TV was the most common reality TV subgenre, as can be seen with the popularity of programs such as Big Brother or its French counterparts Loft Story and Secret Story. In these programs, a group of strangers lived together, often in an isolated location, to take part in different types of tests or competitions, most of the time resulting in the elimination of participants. The program Les Anges de la téléréalité and its spinoffs accounted for the highest number of broadcasting hours with a total of 4,820 hours between 2010 and 2019.

* This figure does not take into account all the sequences broadcast in the magazine Le Mad Mag which were about the program Les Anges de la téléréalité. Indeed, this magazine, broadcast from January 2011 to 2018 on NRJ 12, proposed various subjects relating to the reality TV programs broadcast on NRJ 12 as well as on other channels. Numerous sequences introduced the episodes of the Anges broadcast after the magazine, without it being possible to count them precisely."
