Since their arrival on French television, reality TV programs have diversified. While cohabitation reality TV was extremely popular following the success of programs such as Koh-Lanta or Secret Story, reality TV now includes coaching, makeover, dating, and home renovation and decoration programs. Between 2010 and 2019, almost one-third of reality TV programs were broadcast by M6, while TF1 broadcasted another third.
