Number of offenses against property reported in Nigeria 2017, by type
Almost 70 thousand crimes against property were reported in Nigeria in the course of 2017. The largest number of cases was related to theft and stealing in general, which reached over 30 thousand records. Cheating and fraud, and false pretense were in general the second most common crime, with nearly 12 thousand cases registered in the same year.
