In financial year 2022, the total number of habitations connected to the road system under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) scheme in India reached nearly 172 thousand. Since 2014, more than 40,000 habitations received a road connection. The roads constructed under this scheme are all-weather roads.
