China was the leading market for new heavy-duty truck registrations in 2020, offsetting falling truck registrations in most other markets between 2019 and 2020. In 2020, China's market increased by just under 40 percent year-on-year, but is expected to see a slump in new registrations between 2020 and 2021. While the Japanese market is anticipated to continue its contraction throughout 2021, other markets such as Europe and North America markets are all expected to see registrations rise in 2021.
