As of 2021, around 717 metric tons of chocolate products were exported from Ghana, accumulating a value of approximately 2.5 million U.S. dollars. Exports of this product increased significantly in volume between 2017 and 2019. Overall, in 2021, Ghana imported more products made of chocolate than it exported. Production of cocoa beans in the country has been increasing minimally.
