Intention to travel to France among Belgian people during Covid-19 2020
The Covid-19 pandemic which started in 2020 had a significant impact on the tourism sector in France. The intention of foreign tourists to travel to France for leisure has also been affected. However, the readiness to visit France for Belgian tourists remained stable since August 2020. Nevertheless, the highest score was recorded in July 2020 with 30 percent of the respondents planing to travel to France for leisure in the next six months. The travel intention of Belgian tourists is higher than by other foreign tourists, wich could be explained by the proximity of both countries.
